The Crown Picnic has started to develop a slow growing but fun atmosphere with old school Crowns. The number of entries has jumped from 44 last year, to 57 this year.

The Crown Picnic was moved to the Yokohama Prince Hotel this year from previous events at the Honmoku Hill Top Park. We were a bit uneasy since it was our first time in such a place, but the space was just the right size for such a small event. We could display all 57 Crowns in order.

In the morning it was little bit cloudy but turneout fine soon after. Some people at the show wore T-shirts only, no need for jackets. They ate and drank the complimentary donuts and coffee. Some took a lot of pics, some enjoy the conversation with friends, some slept in their car's and some sold rare Crown car parts. They all had a great time in their own way.

There were only two Kannon Crown's, the very first crown produced, and everyone took lots of pics. One was customised and the other was original. The RS40, which has teardrop tail lenses was popular at the show, as well. That was only made for 1 year so it is very rare. Wildman found the first whale Crown and liked it the best. The bumper was not made of steel, so it looked like a modern day Crown. >>>NEXT
